External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar met UN Secretary General António Guterres in New York last night.
They discussed on 80th anniversary of the United Nations, geopolitical trends, current hotspots and India’s perspectives.
He also metthe President of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly Annalena Baerbock. Dr Jaishankar assured Ms Baerbock of India’s full support for her Presidency.
In a social media post, he said, India will continue its work with the United Nations to make it more relevant and reflective of the times.
The External Affairs Minister met his Saudi Arabian counterpart Faisal bin Farhan at UNGA. They exchanged views on the bilateral cooperation and the regional situation.
Dr Jaishankar also met his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf. They discussed about strengthening India-Algeria partnership and exchanged views on the Middle East.
