EAM S Jaishankar holds bilateral meetings with various leaders on sidelines of 9th Indian Ocean Conference

External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar today held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders of various countries on the sidelines of the 9th Indian Ocean Conference in Port Louis, Mauritius. Dr Jaishankar called on Mauritius President, Dharambeer Gokhool. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said their conversation reflected the warmth of friendship and the steadfast commitment to further advancing the partnership between the two nations. 
 
Dr Jaishankar also met the former Mauritius Prime Minister and leader of the Militant Socialist Movement party, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth. He appreciated the leader’s strong commitment to the India-Mauritius partnership.
 
The External Affairs Minister met the Foreign Minister of Seychelles, Barry Faure. Dr Jaishankar said that India is committed to supporting Seychelles in meeting current economic challenges. He also welcomed the steps in implementing the India-Seychelles Special Economic Package.
 
Further, he also held a conversation with Bhutan’s Foreign Minister DN Dhungyel. Dr Jaishankar said that the unique and time-tested India-Bhutan partnership is continuing to progress and prosper.
