External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today met several world leaders on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit-2025. In a social media post, he said that during his meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, he conveyed the best wishes for a successful ASEAN Summit. He added that Mr Ibrahim’s thoughts on strengthening bilateral cooperation and people-to-people linkages between the two nations are valuable.
Meeting his Singaporean counterpart, Vivian Balakrishnan, Dr Jaishankar said that they exchanged views on the global and regional scenarios, and also opportunities for strengthening India-Singapore cooperation.
During the sidelines of the Summit, the External Affairs Minister also met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Sihasak Phuangketkeow. The minister said that he looks forward to working together with him to take forward both countries’ Strategic Partnership.
External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar met the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea, Cho Hyun on the sidelines of ASEAN meetings in Malaysia today. In a social media post Dr Jaishankar said that they discussed cooperation in automotive, electronics, semiconductor, defence and shipbuilding. The Minister also appreciated the deepening of the special strategic partnership between the two countries.
