External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar will embark on a 3-day visit to the United States starting today, with a key focus on participation in the Critical Minerals Ministerial meeting convened by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The Ministry of External Affairs, in a statement, said that the Ministerial meeting will focus on supply chain resilience, clean energy transitions, and strategic cooperation in critical minerals. It added that Dr Jaishankar will also hold meetings with senior members of the US administration during the visit.
