Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya Joins Fit India Sundays on Cycle, Highlights Role of Fitness in Leadership

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya participated in the 56th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle in New Delhi this morning. Young Leaders from across the nation, who are currently in Delhi to attend the prestigious Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, also took part in this edition. Indian Tennis star Leander Paes and legendary shuttler Pullela Gopichand took part in the event.  Addressing the gathering, Dr Mandaviya said that cycling teaches balancing and balance is essential in leadership. He added that by cycling the youth of the nation can learn when to be patient, when to slow down, and when to speed up. He noted that fit and healthy youth can help lead the nation’s growth and cycling is an important part of it.
 
Dr. Mandaviya mentioned that today the youth of the country are spreading the message of fitness through ‘Sundays on Cycle’ at more than 15 thousand locations. He added that last year when the ‘Sunday on Cycle’ initiative was launched, cycling events were organised at 240 locations across India.
 
 
Pullela Gopichand praised the initiative by saying that everyone knows that Sundays on Cycle is held in every city and village. Moreover, Leander Paes said that 55 lakh youths took part in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue and started presenting how they can take India to the future.
