Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma has been appointed Governor of Maharashtra. Former Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav has been appointed as Governor of Nagaland. Lieutenant General (Retired) Syed Ata Hasnain has been appointed as Governor of Bihar.

The Governor of Tamil Nadu, RN Ravi, has been appointed as the Governor of West Bengal. The Governor of Kerala, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, will discharge the functions of the Governor of Tamil Nadu. The President has accepted the resignation of the Governor of West Bengal, Dr C.V. Ananda Bose. The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, has been appointed as Governor of Himachal Pradesh. The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena, has been appointed as Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. Former diplomat Taranjit Singh Sandhu has been appointed as Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
