Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, today said that India is entering a transformative phase in its space journey. Addressing the inaugural session of the International Conference on Space 2025 virtually, he said that India sets the ambitious space goals such as the Moon Mission by 2040 and the Bharatiya Space Station by 2035. The Minister highlighted the nation’s international partnerships, such as the joint NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar mission with the United States, and the upcoming Chandrayaan-5 lunar mission with Japan. Dr Singh recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision that space will become a frontier, where the nation’s leadership will be globally recognised. He further stressed that the application of space technologies will not only transform agriculture, health, and education but also strengthen governance and public service delivery. The conference was organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, gathering delegates from all over the world.
