Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh launched the web portal for Special Campaign 5.0 for institutionalising swachhata and minimising pendency at government offices in New Delhi today.

Addressing the press conference, the Minister said that these campaigns have not only transformed the perception of government offices but have also institutionalised cleanliness and efficiency in governance.

He said that in the previous four editions of the special campaign, over one crore thirty-seven lakh files have been weeded out, and a revenue of more than three thousand 296 crore rupees has been generated through scrap disposal.

Dr Singh highlighted that scientific disposal of e-waste will be the focus area of the campaign this year, in compliance with E-Waste Management Rules 2022.
