A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Dr Ambedkar Foundation under the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the University of Mumbai for the establishment of the Dr Ambedkar Chair at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Research Centre in Mumbai.

 

 

The agreement was signed yesterday in the presence of Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr Virendra Kumar.

 

 

The Chair aims to promote academic and policy research on Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s thoughts on social justice, equality, human rights, and economic empowerment.

 

It will study the impact of education and employment policies on marginalised communities and suggest measures for skill development and inclusivity.
