The Department of Personnel and Training, the Capacity Building Commission, and Karmayogi Bharat will organise a week-long Sadhna Saptah from the 2nd of next month in New Delhi. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Member (Administration), Capacity Building Commission, Dr Alka Mittal said that Mission Karmayogi, launched in 2020, aims to build the capacity, performance and efficiency of civil servants across the country. Dr Mittal highlighted that the initiative is bringing a shift in governance by focusing on continuous learning and competency development of officials. She noted that the iGOT Karmayogi platform plays a key role in this transformation by serving as a comprehensive digital learning platform for government employees. She added that the system is gradually moving from a rule-based approach to a role-based framework, enabling officers to acquire skills relevant to their specific responsibilities.
Emphasising the upcoming ‘Sadhana Saptah’, Dr Mittal described it as a week-long learning initiative aimed at further strengthening the culture of capacity building among civil servants. She said the programme will offer diverse learning opportunities and encourage officials to actively engage in skill enhancement and self-development. Mission Karmayogi is a flagship initiative of the government to create a future-ready civil service, aligned with the vision of efficient, transparent and citizen-centric governance.
