A pavilion of the Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD) in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme was inaugurated at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi today. The pavilion is showcasing AI-enabled innovations to strengthen food security through immersive technology demonstrations.
The pavilion also highlights the future of India’s public distribution and food systems. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Secretary of DFPD, Sanjeev Chopra said that artificial intelligence is playing a crucial role in strengthening the country’s food security system. He added that the integration of AI has not only enhanced transparency but also introduced greater responsiveness in operations.
