Delhi Police today said that the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee has been provided Z Plus security during her stay in the national capital. Highlighting about the Protocols, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police Devesh Srivastava said that the responsibility for the Chief Minister’s security lies with the Delhi Police. He added that, following prior intimation from the West Bengal Police, extensive security and law-and-order arrangements had been put in place at Banga Bhawan in Chanakyapuri.

The police also clarified that no personnel entered Banga Bhavan and no restrictions were imposed on residents’ movement. The Police said assistance from Central Armed Police Forces was deployed, and adequate security arrangements were made at various guest houses and hotels across Delhi.
