Delhi Police Issues memorandum to Rationalise Govt Vehicle Use, Cut Fuel Consumption

Delhi Police has issued a memorandum regarding the rationalisation of government vehicle usage in its offices and units and measures for the reduction of Fuel Consumption. The memorandum has been issued by the office of Police Commissioner in view of the prevailing international situation and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for austerity measures and reduction in fuel consumption.

 

According to the memorandum all Units and Offices of the Delhi Police have been directed to take effective steps to curtail avoidable vehicular movement, optimise deployment of available vehicles, and promote economical use of fuel. It also added that all supervisory officers will ensure strict compliance with the instructions, so that the department contributes meaningfully to the national effort for conservation of fuel and reduction of unnecessary expenditure.
