Delhi Police has arrested 42 people in the southwest area of the city under a special drive against cybercrime for their alleged involvement in multiple inter-state fraud modules that duped victims of more than 254 crore rupees. DCP South West Delhi, Amit Goel, said that the arrests were made during raids conducted under Operation CyHawk. He added that 23 FIRs were registered and 377 National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) complaints were found linked to the accused.
A total of three laptops, two computer systems, 43 mobile phones, 17 passbooks, 14 debit cards and over 1.5 lakh in cash were recovered by the police teams during the raids.
