Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the Argentine footballer Lionel Messi’s GOAT India Tour – Delhi Leg, to be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium today from 1 PM to 4 PM. In the advisory, Delhi Traffic Police said that Traffic movement is expected to remain slow in and around the stadium due to traffic restrictions and heavy spectator movement.

 

 

As per the advisory, traffic will be diverted or restricted on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Marg. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed from Daryaganj towards Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road during the event.

 

 

The Traffic police said that commuters have been advised to avoid certain stretches between 12 noon and 5 PM. These include JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate up to Kamla Market, Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate, and Bahadurshah Zafar Marg from Delhi Gate to ITO.

 

 

The traffic police have also advised the public to follow traffic rules and stay updated through Delhi Traffic Police channels.
