The Delhi High Court today said it will hear on May 4 the CBI’s plea challenging a trial court order that discharged former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and 21 others in the liquor policy case.

The court granted a final opportunity to the accused to file replies by Saturday and directed that the complete trial court record be summoned.

Kejriwal and Sisodia boycotted the hearing, informing the court they would not appear before the judge and would follow Mahatma Gandhi’s path of Satyagraha. Former AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak also sent a similar communication.

The High Court also issued notice on a plea seeking to vacate its interim stay order and listed for May 4 the Enforcement Directorate’s petition to expunge remarks made against it in the trial court’s decision. Earlier, the trial court had discharged all accused, stating the case could not stand judicial scrutiny.
