Delhi government has said that widow pension beneficiaries and persons with disabilities receiving government pensions will now be brought under the ambit of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has said that more than 3 lakh 90 thousand widow pension beneficiaries and around one lakh 31 thousand beneficiaries under the disability pension scheme will be directly benefited.

She also said that following this decision, around five lakh 50 thousand additional families will come under a robust health security cover.

Chief Minister Gupta said that this is not merely an administrative decision but a commitment linked to the health and dignity of every needy family in Delhi.
