The Delhi government will install air purifiers in ten thousand school classrooms in view of the deteriorating air quality in the national capital. Briefing the media today, Delhi Minister Ashish Sood said the air purifiers will be installed in the first phase as part of the government’s continued efforts to improve air quality. He added that the tender process for the project has already been initiated.
The Minister also claimed that the previous Aam Aadmi Party-ruled Delhi government did not do any work to solve the problem of Air Pollution in Delhi. He alleged that they were only interested in advertising and PR activities. Mr Sood also claimed that the previous government had installed 30% of the Air Quality Monitoring stations in the green belt of the national capital. He alleged that the intention behind it was not to clean the air but to clean the statistics.
