Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today travelled by ‘Metro under Mera Bharat, Mera Yogdan’ and ‘Metro Monday’ campaign to promote public transport and fuel conservation. Talking to reporters, Ms Gupta appealled to all residents to use public transport as much as possible. She said, the government is making every effort to ensure there is no inconvenience in public transport and to improve last mile connectivity.

The Delhi Metro is running 24 additional train trips today to encourage the adoption of the Metro over private vehicles. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said that the decision has been taken keeping in view the significant role of public transport in ensuring energy efficiency, economic viability and environmental sustainability in the prevailing circumstances.
