Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh today said that the courage and discipline displayed by NCC cadets in civil defence roles during Operation Sindoor are highly commendable and inspiring.

The Secretary said this while addressing the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2026 in New Delhi. Mr Singh also lauded the NCC cadets for actively contributing to disaster response, environmental protection, and nation-building efforts. He also lauded the contributions of NCC cadets to government initiatives such as Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Puneet Sagar Abhiyan and the Yamuna Cleanup Campaign. The Secretary further described the cadets as architects of Viksit Bharat and urged them to remain humble, courageous, and committed to national ideals.
