Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 156th birth anniversary today. In a social media post, Mr Singh said that Gandhiji was the guiding light of truth, non-violence, and compassion. He also added that as the nation moves forward towards the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Gandhiji’s ideals of Swadeshi, simplicity, and tolerance continue to guide us. Recalling the message of peace, unity and harmony, the Defence Minister said that Gandhiji’s life and teachings will continue to inspire the nation.
