Defence Minister Rajnath Singh embarked on a two-day visit to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia today to attend the 12th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus). The ADMM-Plus is scheduled to be held on the 1st of November. During his visit, Mr Singh will also address the second edition of ASEAN-India Defence Ministers’ Informal Meeting tomorrow under the chairmanship of Malaysia. He will address the forum on the topic – Reflection on 15 years of ADMM-Plus and Charting the Way Forward. The Ministry highlighted that the meeting will further strengthen defence and security cooperation among ASEAN member states and India, advancing the Act East Policy. During the visit, the Defence Minister is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the participating ADMM-Plus nations as well as the senior leadership from Malaysia.
