In Afghanistan, the death toll has increased to 28, with 49 people being injured following severe flooding, landslides, and thunderstorms that struck parts of the country. The Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority said, Storms and heavy rainfall over the past few days across several provinces have led to severe flooding, landslides and lightning strikes. Adding that the figures could increase as more details become available. According to the Authority, the disaster has also caused widespread damage to infrastructure and agriculture. Earlier this year, similar extreme weather, including heavy snowfall and flash floods, left dozens of people dead across the country.
