Cyclonic Storm Ditwah, presently 80 kms away from Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts, will weaken into a deep depression during next three hours over southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts.

Presently the cyclonic storm has moved northwards and continues to move at a slow pace with the speed of 5 kmph during past 6 hours today.

The cyclone is at about 90 km east-southeast of Cuddalore, 120 km northeast of Karaikal, 90 km east-southeast of Puducherry, 170 km north-northeast of Vedaranniyam and 150 km south-southeast of Chennai. The system will be centered over southwest Bay of Bengal within a minimum distance of 30 km from the north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coastline by midnight of today.
