Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) today signed an agreement with National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation to establish a framework to enhance research and development expertise of CSIR. The Ministry of Science and Technology said that the partnership will foster self-reliant, innovation-led industrial ecosystems aligned with national initiatives like Make in India, Startup India, and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The collaboration will promote the establishment of research and development hubs, industrial incubators, and innovation centres in smart cities to strengthen industry-academia-research linkages and accelerate the growth of high-tech enterprises. It will help to identify, adapt and deploy advanced technologies to enhance productivity, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability across sectors in areas including biotechnology, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and aerospace.
