Crude oil prices jumped more than 4 dollars a barrel today, hitting their highest price in almost five months after Israel struck Iran, escalating tensions in West Asia and raising worries about disrupted oil supplies. Brent Crude was trading over 5.3 per cent up at 73 dollars and five cents per barrel, after hitting an intraday high of 78 dollars and 50 cents per barrel, the highest since January 27. Meanwhile, WTI Crude was also trading almost 5.4 per cent up at 71 dollars and 71 cents per barrel after hitting an intraday high of 77 dollars and 62 cents per barrel, when reports last came in.
