The Cooperative Election Authority today convened a meeting with representatives of Multi-State Cooperative Societies of Railway Employees. The Cooperation Ministry said that the meeting aims to facilitate alignment of the organisation’s by-laws with the provisions of the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2023. The ministry added that the discussion was also held on the constitution of representative General Bodies and election of delegates, timely submission of proposals for the conduct of elections at least six months prior to the completion of the tenure of the Board of the Society.
