Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today said that the Constitution is not merely a text but a living commitment to justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity. Mr Shekhawat was addressing the inaugural ceremony of a special exhibition, Neev: Bharatiya Saṃvidhan ki Mahila Shilpi, in New Delhi which highlighted the pivotal role of women in shaping the Constitution. He said that many nations have claimed that India could never function as a single entity, but the Indian Constitution achieved the historic task of unifying this land of immense diversity. Mr Shekhawat added that country’s shared culture, traditions, and civilisational values tied the country together in unity.
