Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure the safe return of people from Andhra Pradesh who are stranded in Gulf countries due to the ongoing war situation and flight cancellations.
The Chief Minister today reviewed the situation at his camp office in Amaravati along with officials from the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) and representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRT). He instructed them to coordinate closely with the Central Government to facilitate the return of people stuck in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Qatar and Kuwait.
He asked officials to immediately get in touch with those stranded and extend necessary assistance without any delay. He emphasised that APNRT and RTGS should work in close coordination on relief measures and continuously monitor developments. Authorities were also told to remain in constant contact with the Centre and Indian embassies in the respective countries to ensure timely support.
Mr. Naidu assured that the Andhra Pradesh government stands firmly with its people and has already initiated measures for the safety of Telugu residents in the Gulf region. He advised those stranded not to panic and to stay in protected areas until airports reopen and flight services resume.
A 24/7 helpline has been set up to assist affected individuals. The helpline number is 0863-2340678, and the WhatsApp number is 85000 27678. Temporary accommodation is being arranged through APNRT coordinators. Officials said that APNRT will provide immediate assistance and support to Non-Resident Telugus who reach out for help. In addition, people can seek assistance through email at helpline@apnrts.com, support@apnrts.com and info@apnrts.com. Further details are available on the official website of APNRT.
