Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take prompt action for the supply of fertilisers to Tamil Nadu to avoid fertiliser shortage in order to increase agricultural production. In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, he requested that the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers be directed to ensure the immediate supply of the shortfall quantity of fertilisers from the previous month. Additionally, he urged the allocation of 40 thousand Million Ton of Urea, 20 thousand Million Ton of DAP, 20 thousand Million Ton of MOP, and 40 thousand Million Ton of NPK complex to the State without delay. He had also listed out the supply shortfall last month and appealed to the Prime Minister to immediately intervene to avoid the shortage of fertilisers during the Kharif and forthcoming Rabi seasons in Tamil Nadu.
