The Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, attended the convocation ceremony of Hidayatullah National Law University in Raipur as the chief guest today.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Justice said that “cooperation” and “patience” are the two most important pillars for a long and successful career in the legal profession. He remarked that the field of law is not a short sprint but a long-distance race, where an individual’s value increases with experience over time.
On the occasion, six students were awarded Ph.D. degrees, eighty-eight students received LL.M. degrees, and one hundred and forty-eight students were conferred B.A. LL.B. (Honours) degrees. For academic excellence, thirty-six medals were presented to ten undergraduate and three postgraduate students.
Judges of the Supreme Court, P. S. Narasimha and Prashant Kumar Mishra, Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court Ramesh Sinha, State Tribal Welfare Minister Ramvichar Netam, and Law Minister Gajendra Yadav were also present at the ceremony.
Chief Justice Surya Kant also visited the country’s first digital museum, established at the Adivasi Research and Training Institute in Raipur. Praising the museum, he said that every citizen of the country should be familiar with tribal history and culture.
