Chief Justice of India, Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai Gavai has said that chief architect of the Indian constitution Dr B.R Ambedkar took painstaking efforts as chairman of the drafting committee for crafting a constitution which will keep the country united. He was addressing a function after the inauguration of the country’s first constitution preamble park in the campus of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Law School of Nagpur University on Saturday. While highlighting the role of the Indian constitution in maintaining India’s unity, the Chief Justice said, it is the constitution which has kept the country united in the time of peace and war also. He also said that Country’s first preamble park is established in the historic city of Nagpur where Dr. Ambedkar embraced Buddhism with lakhs of his followers.
Speaking on the occasion, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that this park has been established in Nagpur in the year of the Golden Jubilee of Indian Constitution. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that Nagpur University’s Babasaheb Ambedkar Law College has produced students with glorious traditions like former Prime Minister Narasimha Rao, former Vice President Justice Hidayatullah.
