Chief Justice of India Justice Bhushan Gavai inaugurated the new Civil and Criminal Court building in Mandangad Taluka of Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra today, highlighting the importance of taking justice to the last person in society. He emphasised that justice should be accessible, efficient, and rooted in the principles laid down by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
CJI Gavai stated that the newly inaugurated court in Mandangad will play a key role in ensuring access to justice at the grassroots level. The building is fully equipped with modern facilities, which will enable faster and more affordable delivery of justice, thereby bringing to life Babasaheb’s vision of equality.
CJI also praised the state government for its commitment to strengthening the judiciary’s foundation.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, Justice Chandrashekhar, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, Guardian Minister Uday Samant and other dignitaries attended the event.
