Civil Aviation Secretary says flight operations have returned to near-normal levels

Civil Aviation Secretary, Samir Kumar Sinha, has said that flight operations are almost back to normal, noting that IndiGo operated more than 1 thousand 800 flights yesterday, which is close to its usual schedule. Speaking to the media, he also emphasised that all other airlines, including Akasa, Air India Express, and SpiceJet, have operated at full capacity.

Talking about refunds and baggage issues amid IndiGo’s flight cancellations, Mr Sinha said that the airline has completed nearly all refunds. He added that about 90 per cent of the baggage has already been delivered, and the airline is actively sending the remaining bags to passengers’ given addresses. He expressed confidence that within the next 24 hours, all pending luggage will reach the passengers’ designated locations.
