Civil Aviation Minister Briefs Vice-President Radhakrishnan on Sectoral Reforms; VP Highlights UDAN’s Role in Boosting Regional Connectivity

Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu called on Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan today in New Delhi. During the meeting, the Vice President was briefed on various measures and initiatives being undertaken by the Civil Aviation Ministry to strengthen the civil aviation sector in alignment with contemporary needs and global standards. Vice President Radhakrishnan was also apprised of the Government’s commitment to affordable air travel, significant infrastructure developments and the initiatives to promote Atmanirbharta in civil aviation. 
 
 
At the meeting, the Vice-President highlighted the importance of initiatives like UDAN in empowering local communities and unlocking regional economic and tourism potential. He also appreciated the efforts of the Ministry to revive unutilized airstrips and emphasized the need to increase the number of training aircraft to meet the rising demand for pilots in line with the sector’s rapid growth.
