The CISF Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclothon-2026, organised by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to mark 150 years of the national song “Vande Mataram,” entered Andhra Pradesh today. The cyclothon was flagged off at Baruva Beach in Sompeta Mandal of Srikakulam district by Ichapuram MLA Ashok, who waved the green flag. The nationwide cycling expedition aims to create awareness on coastal security, involve fisherfolk as partners in national security, promote patriotism among youth, encourage recruitment into security forces, and highlight the importance of physical fitness through cycling.
