The Chitra Pournami festival at the Mangala Devi Kannagi Temple on the Keralam – Tamil Nadu border will be held today. Located inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve, the temple will open to devotees from 6 a.m. This temple inside the temple will be open only on the Chitra Pournami day. Entry into the forest will be stopped after 2:30 p.m., and all pilgrims must exit by 5 p.m. Night stay is not permitted. Trip jeeps from Kumali bus stand will operate from 5:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Two-wheelers and tractors are banned.
