China criticizes US for its action on Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro

China has strongly criticized US for its action on Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro. China has warned against unilateral bullying and rejecting any country acting as a global policeman or international judge. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, the volatile global situation shows rising unilateral bullying. He stressed that national sovereignty must be protected under international law.
 
 
Speaking in Beijing Mr. Wang said, China supports upholding the UN Charter, respecting sovereignty, and resolving disputes through dialogue and cooperation. 
 
 
Venezuelan President Maduro was detained by US forces on Saturday and he remains in American custody. Venezuela’s Vice President Delcy Rodríguez has assumed office as acting President. US President Donald Trump has asked Mr. Rodríguez to grant the US full access to Venezuela’s resources, especially crude oil, or face consequences worse than Maduro, saying the US needs access to rebuild the country.
