Chief of the Naval Staff, Dinesh K Tripathi flagged off the Indian Navy Car Rally for National Outreach in New Delhi today. The rally aims to strengthen the bond between maritime forces and the people of the country. The Ministry of Defence in a statement informed that the rally will comprise 34 participants including serving naval personnel and members of the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA). Furthermore, it will cover a 1700-kilometre route over eight days, traversing the cities of Agra, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Kanpur.
Highlighting the objective of the rally, the Ministry said that it will engage with Naval Veterans and Veer Naaris, Support NGOs Enroute, Promote Naval Awareness, Showcase NWWA’s Contribution to Skill India and Honour country’s Cultural Legacy. It added that the rally stands as a testament to the Indian Navy’s dedication to national integration and its proactive efforts to connect with citizens beyond the coastline.
