In Chhattisgarh, security forces have arrested sixteen Maoists from different locations in Bijapur district over the last 24 hours. Personnel of the District Reserve Guard and the Central Reserve Police Force carried out an anti-Maoist operation in the district. In this operation, two Maoists were apprehended from the Basaguda area, six from Gangloor and eight from the Jangla region. Explosives and other materials have also been recovered from their possession.
