In Chhattisgarh, six workers were killed and five others seriously injured in an accident at a sponge iron factory in Balodabazar district. The incident occurred when an explosion took place in the dust settling chamber of the plant. The injured workers have been admitted to the Burn Trauma Centre in Bilaspur for treatment. The district administration has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate to inquire into the incident. Following the accident, the administration has sealed the steel plant.
