In Kerala, Chief Electoral Officer Rathan U. Kelkar said that the hearing of those left out of the Draft Special Intensive Revision list has been completed in 122 out of 140 Assembly Constituencies in the state. Hearings are yet to be completed in Kollam, Kozhikode, Malappuram and Kannur districts.
In Malappuram, hearings are yet to be completed in seven constituencies. Peravur in Kannur district has the largest number of hearings left to be conducted.
The CEO said that the final voters’ list of the SIR exercise will be published on February 21. He further informed that during the hearing process, 39,297 names have been removed from the voters’ list for various reasons.
