Central Railway is operating 1998 Diwali Special trips, both Reserved and Unreserved, between 19th September and 30 November 2025 across various states. Out of these more than 600 trains are notified from Mumbai area. On a daily basis more than 100 regular and 8-10 special trains are being handled from Mumbai area. A total of 77 trains will be run on today and next three days, out of these 24 trains are originating from Mumbai division.

705 trips have already been completed, which have carried 10.68 lac lakh passengers. These Festival Specials are expected to facilitate travel for over 30 lakh passengers providing convenient travel options to destinations such as Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh, among others.
