CISF’s Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclothon 2026 to reach Chicalim in Goa today

The Central Industrial Security Force’s Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclothon 2026 will reach Chicalim in Goa this evening. The cycling team, will complete a 182-kilometre stretch before halting at the Mormugao Port Authority. The cyclothon will enter Goa from Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra.

The CISF Vande Mataram Coastal Cyclothon (VMCC)-2026 was flagged off from Lakhpat Fort in Gujarat on the western coast and from Bakkhali in West Bengal on the eastern coast.

The Chief Minister, the Director General of Police and other CISF officials in Goa are expected to be present during the halt of cyclothon in the state.

The cyclothon promotes physical fitness, discipline and community participation in national security. It is part of the CISF’s nationwide campaign marking 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram, with a focus on national unity and coastal vigilance.

Its objective is to travel through coastal regions across the country to promote local engagement, spread awareness about coastal and maritime security, and encourage the growth of the nation’s blue economy.
