CEC Gyanesh Kumar holds meeting with newly appointed observers for Bihar assembly elections

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will hold a meeting in New Delhi today with the newly appointed observers for the Bihar Assembly elections and the by-elections being held in other parts of the country. A briefing meeting of Central Observers which includes General, Police & Expenditure, appointed by ECI for Bihar elections is scheduled to be held at IIIDEM Dwarka in New Delhi. The full Election Commission team led by CEC will visit Bihar tomorrow and the day after to review the election preparedness for Assembly Elections. The Election Commission has appointed 470 central observers for Bihar assembly polls, bye-elections in eight states. The observers, comprising 320 Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 60 Indian Police Service (IPS), and 90 officers from the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), and Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS), will monitor the electoral process in Bihar and bye-elections in constituencies across Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, Punjab, Mizoram, and Odisha.
