The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) today reviewed the status of implementation of different stages of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) to control air pollution in Delhi NCR. A crucial review meeting was chaired in New Delhi by CAQM Member Dr. Sujit Kumar Bajpayee. It was highlighted that the upcoming winter season is a critical period, and thus, the actions to be taken under different stages of GRAP must be implemented in letter and spirit.

Special attention will be given to all identified hotspots in NCR states. The CAQM Member directed that pending complaints from citizens on different apps and social media platforms must be resolved within a week. Further, CAQM must be tagged on social media while forwarding and resolving complaints so that they are properly tracked and monitored. Officials of concerned agencies will be held accountable for any laxity in the enforcement of the directions.
