With the upcoming elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) approaching, political parties have intensified their campaign efforts across the State. Major contenders, including the BJP, Tipra Motha, CPI(M), Congress, IPFT, and independent candidates, are actively engaging voters through rallies and public meetings.
A major election rally was held today at Gandacherra under Dhalai district, where Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha addressed a gathering in support of BJP candidates Bhumikananda Reang from the Gangannagar-Gondatwisa constituency and Samir Ranjan Tripura from the Raimavally constituency.
Addressing the rally, the Chief Minister stated that the government has been consistently working towards preserving the culture and traditions of indigenous communities while ensuring their social security and economic development. Meanwhile, other political parties have also stepped up their campaign activities, holding rallies and outreach programmes to garner voter support ahead of the polls.
