Today, we will talk about LOCOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING SHOP, DAHOD today inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gujarat AND launch of high-resolution (6 km) numerical global model-Bharat Forecast System-for operational forecasts.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the locomotive manufacturing shop at Dahod’s rolling stock workshop. The Dahod locomotive manufacturing workshop’s foundation stone was laid in 2022 and within a span of 3 years, this production facility has been completed. The project of the Railway Ministry has been built with an investment of 21,405 crore rupees. The facility is dedicated to manufacturing 9000 HP electric locomotives, serving both domestic requirements and export purpose.
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने दाहोद में रेलवे के लोकोमोटिव विनिर्माण संयंत्र का उदघाटन किया। यह संयंत्र घरेलू और निर्यात के लिए नौ हजार हॉर्सपॉवर के इलेक्ट्रिक लोकोमोटिव का उत्पादन करेगा। श्री मोदी ने इस संयंत्र में निर्मित पहले इलेक्ट्रिक लोकोमोटिव को झंडी भी दिखाई। ये लोकोमोटिव रेलवे की माल लदान क्षमता को बढाने में सहायक होंगे। ये लोकोमोटिव पुन: उत्पादित ब्रेकिंग प्रणालियों से सुसज्जित होंगे, तथा इन्हें ऊर्जा खपत को कम करने के लिए डिजाइन किया जा रहा है। यह पर्यावरण की स्थिरता बनाये रखने में सहायक होगा।
The locomotives incorporate regenerative braking technology and feature energy-efficient designs, supporting eco-friendly railway operations. The Dahod railway production facility will generate employment for 10,000 individuals and stimulate the regional economy.

We now go over to our correspondent Aadarsh, who is telling us more about the boost which country’s infrastructure will get from today’s projects launched by the Prime Minister in Gujarat.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth over 24 thousand crore rupees in Dahod today. These include rail projects and various projects of the Gujarat Government. He also flagged off the Vande Bharat Express between Veraval and Ahmedabad as well as the Express train between Valsad and Dahod stations. The Veraval and Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express will significantly reduce the travel time to Somnath, providing a major relief and comfort to pilgrims and tourists. On the other hand, the express train between Valsad and Dahod stations will provide better connectivity between Southern Gujarat and Dahod. The Prime Minister mentioned that these railway routes will greatly benefit the tribal belt and create large-scale employment opportunities for the youth. The Prime Minister also hailed the launch of the Locomotive Manufacturing Plant. He emphasized that the factory will also support small-scale industries producing railway components, leading to economic growth in surrounding areas. He highlighted the immense potential of Dahod, stating that the event is just a glimpse of its capabilities. The Earth Sciences ministry today launched a high-resolution (6 km) numerical global model-Bharat Forecast System-for operational forecasts up to the panchayat level, which is expected to help address extreme rainfall events, among other things. Dedicating the model to the country, Earth Sciences Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has said that the indigenously made BFS was developed by five female scientists, which highlights India’s women-led development. He said that IMD has played a pivotal role in taking the country’s economy to the 4th position, as in the last few years the department has contributed over 50 thousand crores by preventing potential losses and increasing potential gains in rupees. Mr. Singh added that despite Operation Sindoor, India achieved this milestone of becoming the 4th largest economy in the world. He mentioned that earlier in 2014 only 4 or 5 hundred crore rupees used to be allocated for the Earth Sciences Ministry, but under the current government, the budget has grown to nearly 20 thousand crore rupees. In the Mann Ki Baat on Akashvani this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about World Bee Day celebrated on 20th of this month. The Prime Minister said, he observed that during the last 11 years, a sweet revolution has taken place in beekeeping in our country.
Mr. Modi also highlighted the initiative by Amit Godse from Pune, who is working tirelessly to protect bees and their habitats. To learn more about his journey, let’s turn to our Mumbai correspondent:
“Amit Godse, a mechanical engineer by profession, left his job to dedicate himself to the noble cause of bee conservation. He established ‘Bee Basket’ and initiated ‘Pest to Pet’, focusing on the rescue and relocation of bees. This transformative journey began one leisurely afternoon in his own residential society. Elaborating on this incident and his path to becoming known as the ‘Bee Man of Pune’ is Amit Godse himself.
Expressing gratitude for being mentioned in Mann Ki Baat, Amit Godse also shares his vision to expand his work across India, aiming to protect these tiny beings who play a crucial role in our ecosystem. Let’s hear from Amit himself.

“छत्तीसगढ़ के कोरिया जिले में आदिवासी किसान सोनहनी नाम से शुद्ध जैविक शहद बना रहे हैं। प्रधानमंत्री ने मन की बात कार्यक्रम में इस शहद ब्रांड का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि गांवों की मेहनत अब ग्लोबल हो रही है। कोरिया जिले की कलेक्टर चंदन त्रिपाठी ने बताया कि सोनहनी परियोजना सोनहत के जंगलों में डिस्ट्रिक्ट मिनरल फंड से शुरू की गई है। इस शहद को बनाने के लिए सिर्फ जंगल के फूलों का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।
जिले के किसान कंदुराम कुर्रे ने बताया कि मधुमक्खी पालन से हमारी आमदनी में बढ़ोतरी हुई है।

The benchmark domestic equity indices today ended with gains of over half percent, extending their rising streak to second consecutive session. The market sentiment was boosted by positive domestic and global cues and buying across most sectors, with auto and IT leading the gains. आज दक्षिण सिनेमा की सुप्रसिद्ध हास्य अभिनेत्री और गायिका मनोरमा की जयंती है। उन्होंने 1500 से अधिक तमिल, तेलुगु, मलयालम और कन्नड़ फ़िल्मों में काम किया था। मनोरमा ने फ़िल्मों में अपने अभिनय से दर्शकों का खूब प्यार पाया और कई दिग्गज अभिनेताओं के साथ काम किया। 1000 फ़िल्में पूरी होने के साथ ही उनका नाम ‘गिनीज बुक ऑफ़ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड’ में दर्ज हो गया।उन्होंने अपना कॅरियर बतौर स्ट्रीट गायिका शुरू किया था। वह कभी-कभी रंगमंच कर्मियों के लिए भी गाती थीं। ऐसे ही एक शो के दौरान उनका नाम मनोरमा पड़ गया जल्द ही वह एस. एस. राजेंद्रन की ‘नाटक मंद्रम’ से जुड़ गईं और यहीं उन पर गीतकार कन्नदासन की निगाह पड़ी, जिन्होंने उन्हें तमिल फ़िल्म ‘मलयित्ता मंगै’ (1958) में लिया। 1963 में उन्होंने तमिल फ़िल्म ‘कुंजुम कुमारी’ से मुख्य अभिनेत्री के रूप में अपनी पारी शुरू की। दो साल बाद वह ए. पी. नागराजन द्वारा निर्देशित तमिल फ़िल्म ‘थिरुविलायादल’ और एक साल बाद दोबारा नागराजन द्वारा निर्देशित फ़िल्म ‘सरस्वती सबथम’ में नज़र आईं।
