आज विश्व रंगमंच दिवस मनाया जा रहा है। ये खास दिन रंगमंच कला के महत्व को दर्शाता है। इस दिन रंगमंच कला के कलाकरों को सम्मानित किया जाता है। सायरा नाटक और अभिनय करना आसान नहीं है। दुनिया के बाकी कामों की तरह इस क्षेत्र में काफी ज्यादा मेहनत है। मनोरंजन की दुनिया में आने के लिए लोग थिएटर से अपने करियर की शुरुआत करते हैं। रंगमंच की खूबसूरती इसी में है कि यह केवल कल्पना पर आधारित नहीं होता, बल्कि यह समाज में घटित घटनाओं, मानव भावनाओं और जीवन के संघर्षों को प्रभावी ढंग से दर्शकों के सामने प्रस्तुत करता है।

Theatres have been the most important form of entertainment since ancient times. It helps in fostering empathy, community, and cultural understanding. Meanwhile, it also serves as a powerful tool for education and social change through live performances that explore human experiences and emotions. Theatre is a unique form of art that brings together action and narration, which is a part of storytelling, music, and visual design to create live performances.
वर्ल्ड थिएटर डे का इतिहास
1961 में वर्ल्ड थिएटर डे को दुनिया भर में मनाने और उसके महत्व बताने के लिए इंटरनेशनल थिएटर इंस्टिट्यूट की शुरुआत की गई थी। वहीं, 1962 से हर साल 27 मार्च को विश्व रंगमंच दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। यह दिन थिएटर कला के सार, खूबसूरती, महत्व, मनोरंजन में रंगमंच कलाकारों की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका की याद दिलाता है। देश में थिएटर की पुरानी और समृद्ध परंपरा रही है। भरतमुनि का नाट्यशास्त्र दुनिया का सबसे पुराना रंगमंचीय ग्रंथ माना जाता है। कालिदास के नाटक ‘अभिज्ञानशाकुंतलम्’ से लेकर भास, भवभूति, गिरीश कर्नाड, विजय तेंदुलकर, हबीब तनवीर और बादल सरकार जैसे लेखकों तक, भारतीय रंगमंच ने अनेक उतार-चढ़ाव देखे हैं। आज भी नाट्य मंडलियां, स्ट्रीट प्ले, लोकनाट्य और आधुनिक थिएटर समाज के महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों को उजागर करने का कार्य कर रहे हैं। रंगमंच सामाजिक समस्याओं को उजागर करने का एक प्रभावशाली माध्यम रहा है। बाल विवाह, जातिवाद, महिला सशक्तिकरण, भ्रष्टाचार, शिक्षा, युद्ध और गरीबी जैसे मुद्दों पर आधारित नाटक लोगों को न केवल जागरूक करते हैं, बल्कि उन्हें सोचने पर भी मजबूर कर देते हैं।
Theatre is way more than just a form of art — it is an expression of human nature itself. While entertainment appears to be the more immediate purpose, theatre, on a deeper level, serves as the medium where artistes use storytelling to call on the viewer’s attention to some of the most pressing issues in the world.
Theatre is also an avenue for creative minds to provide a comfortable distraction to people burdened by the hustle and bustle of their everyday lives. Considered a stepping stone to mainstream cinema, theatre usually brings together a diverse group of talent from nearly every section of society. The theme for World Theatre Day this year is “Theatre and a Culture of Peace.”

विश्व रंगमंच दिवस (World Theatre Day) थिएटर के महत्व को बताता है। इस दिन लोगों को इसके बारे में जागरूक किया जाता है। दुनिया भर में इस दिन कई कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाते हैं ताकि अलग-अलग कलाओं, संस्कृति और परंपरा को लोगों तक पहुंचाया जा सके। वहीं, इस दिन नाटक और अभिनय करने वालों के सम्मान में भी कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाते हैं. बता दें, विश्व रंगमंच दिवस का मुख्य उद्देश्य रंगमंच को सभी रूपों में बढ़ावा देना है।
Indian cinema, one of the largest film industries in the world, owes much of its grandeur to theatre. In its early years, pioneers like Dadasaheb Phalke drew inspiration from mythological plays and Parsi theatre, blending them with the moving image to create films like Raja Harishchandra (1913), India’s first feature-length film. The tradition of larger-than-life characters, musical numbers, and moral narratives—hallmarks of Indian theatre—became defining features of Bollywood and regional cinemas alike.
Utpal Dutt, primarily known for his work in Bengali theatre, commenced his career in English theatre. In the 1940s, he founded “The Shakespeareans,” capturing audiences with powerful productions. His journey included significant collaborations with the “Shakespeareana Theatre Company,” showcasing his passionate portrayal of Othello.

India has achieved a significant milestone in the global tea industry, surpassing Sri Lanka to become the world’s second-largest exporter of tea in 2024. According to data compiled by the Tea Board of India, the country exported an impressive 255 million kilograms of tea last year, marking a substantial growth in its export figures. While Kenya has retained the top spot.
“India’s tea exports soared to a 10-year high of 255 million kilograms in 2024, marking a significant achievement despite global market uncertainties caused by geopolitical tensions.The country saw a robust 10 percent growth in tea exports compared to 231.69 million kilograms recorded in 2023. India exports tea to more than 25 countries with the UAE, Iraq, Iran, Russia, USA and the UK as its major markets and is among the top five tea exporters in the world accounting for about 10 per cent of total world exports. India’s Assam, Darjeeling, and Nilgiri tea are considered one of the finest in the world. Whereas Black tea dominates exports, accounting for 96 percent of the country’s tea exports, while other varieties such as green tea, herbal tea, masala tea, and lemon tea also contribute to India’s growing international reputation. “Today is the Madhukrishna Trayodashi Tithi according to the Bengali calendar. The Holy Baruni Snan or bathing in the Barak River adjacent to the Siddheshwar Shiva Temple near Panchgram is conducted in this day which is considered as very auspicious period. This special religious event is organized on the 13th day of Lunar cycle during this month which is known as Madhukrishna Trayodashi Tithi. The exact timing for the holy bath of this Thithi falls today from 2:30 am to 11:03 pm. Like every year, thousands of devotees have gathered in the hope of getting devine merit through this bathing in the River Barak. The historical and religious significance of the Varuni Snan is immense among the devotees of Lord Siddheshwar Siva. According to sanatan belief, bathing in a river or a pilgrimage site on this special day washes away sins and paves the way for salvation.According to myth, the greatness of Varuni Tithi is particularly recognized in memory of the conflict between the gods and demons for the nectar during the churning of the ocean. Baruni Snan has been held from time immemorial at the Barak River ghat adjacent to the Siddheshwar Shiva Temple in Panchgram. आज भारत की दिग्गज मसाला कम्पनी MDH के मालिक धर्मपाल गुलाटी की जयंती है। ‘मसाला किंग’ के नाम से मशहूर धर्मपाल गुलाटी ने भारत में ही नहीं बल्कि विदेशों में भी अपने एमडीएच मसालों से ख्याति प्राप्त की। एमडीएच स्विट्ज़रलैंड, अमरीका, जापान, कनाडा, यूरोपीय देशों, इत्यादि में मसालों का निर्यात करता है। वर्तमान में एमडीएच विश्व में मसालों की श्रेणी में सबसे बड़े ब्रांडों में से एक, के रूप में उभरा है। एमडीएच मसाले का पूरा नाम महाशियां दी हट्टी है, जिसका अर्थ है “एक महानुभाव आदमी की दुकान” और इसे भारतीय खाद्य उद्योग में कामयाबी की एक बड़ी मिसाल माना जाता है। उन्हें भारत सरकार द्वारा 2019 में ‘पद्म भूषण’ से सम्मानित किया गया।
