प्रवर्तन निदेशालय- ईडी ने दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल को कथित शराब घोटाला मामले में गिरफ्तार किया है। एजेंसी ने श्री केजरीवाल को कल रात उनके दिल्ली स्थित निवास से गिरफ्तार किया और अपने कार्यालय ले गई। इससे पहले कल शाम मुख्यमंत्री केजरीवाल के निवास स्थान पर पहुंची ईडी की टीम ने उनके आवास की तलाशी भी ली। श्री केजरीवाल को इस मामले में दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय द्वारा किसी तरह का संरक्षण दिए जाने से इंकार किए जाने के बाद गिरफ्तार किया गया है।
ईडी ने श्री केजरीवाल का नाम दिल्ली आबकारी नीति से जुडे धनशोधन मामले में शामिल किया है और उन्हें एजेंसी के समक्ष पेश होने के लिए नौ समन भेजे थे। हालांकि श्री केजरीवाल ने सभी समन को गैर कानूनी और राजनीति से प्रेरित बताया तथा वे एजेंसी के सामने पेश नहीं हुए।
इस बीच, आम आदमी पार्टी ने श्री केजरीवाल की गिरफ्तारी को निरस्त कराने तथा मामले की तत्काल सुनवाई के लिए सर्वोच्च न्यायालय का दरवाजा खटखटाया है। भारतीय जनता पार्टी के नेता रवि शंकर प्रसाद ने कहा है कि यह कानून की प्रक्रिया है और यह कार्रवाई भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ की जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि कानून अपना काम करेगा।

The Election Commission has made public a data set of electoral bonds including their numbers that can help match their purchasers with the political parties that received the funds. The separate lists of the donors and recipients were published by the poll body on its website after the details were submitted to it by the State Bank of India after the order of the Supreme Court.
The State Bank of India was the only bank authorised to sell and redeem the bonds, which were first issued in March 2018 and were being sold until the scheme was declared null and void by the top court last month. The Election Commission said it has uploaded the data on electoral bonds on its website as received from SBI on “as is where is basis”.

In a media briefing in New Delhi yesterday, Mr. Kharge alleged that Congress party’s bank accounts have been frozen which must be set aside so that Congress can use its funds during the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, BJP came down heavily on the Congress party’s accusation of freezing of its bank accounts. In a media briefing in New Delhi, BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra said, if you are a defaulter, you will be treated like one. He alleged that it is not the bank account of Congress party that has frozen, but the Congress itself has frozen.

CHENNAI METRO
Southern Railway has registered 2632 cases for unauthorised alarm chain pulling, and 2618 people were arrested and prosecuted till March 2023-24. The railways also collected Rs. 15.45 lakh as fine. In many instances, people who have pulled the chain are those who have come to see off their relatives but failed to get down before the train departed. The railways has said that in case of an emergency or grievance, passengers should first inform the travelling ticket examiner in charge of the coach. People are also advised to contact RailMadad helpline 139 for all rail related complaints and grievances.

From March 22 to 25, there will be a silver jubilee reunion for women who completed the women’s special entry program and short service commission at Chennai Officers Training Academy 28 years ago.Reunions, storytelling, and honoring the memories of their time at the Academy will take place at the alma mater for former comrades from all over the world. Originally scheduled for 2021, the event was rescheduled because of Covid-19 restrictions. A somber ceremony will also be performed to honor the Next of Kin of their comrades who gave their life in the service of the country, according to a press statement from the OTA.

BENGALURU METRO
Due to the city’s drinking water crisis, Dr. Ram Prasath Manohar, the Chairman of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), has advised Bengaluru’s hotels and restaurants to practice water conservation.
Dr. Manohar stressed the need for group efforts to reduce needless waste of this valuable resource during a meeting with hotel owners and association leaders in Bengaluru yesterday.
He extended an offer for BWSSB to work with hotels and restaurants on this project, providing discounted rates for the delivery of treated water. In response to the Hotel Owners’ Association’s request, the BWSSB promised to supply water-saving stickers that can be installed in areas of hotels and restaurants with excessive water usage.
Dr. Manohar underlined that commercial Holi celebrations with rain dances and pool activities are not allowed to use water from the Cauvery or borewells. He asked the association’s members to spread the word about this information and take the appropriate precautions to avoid misuse.

HYDERABAD METRO
Hyderabad has recorded a significant improvement in terms of air quality during the past four years. As per the World Air Quality Report-2023, the Telangana capital city has shown an improvement in the air quality in 2023 when compared to the previous years from 2019.
The Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TS PCB) said, the data collated during the past four-year period shows the concentrations of particulate matter 10 micrometers or less in diameter called ‘PM10’, in Hyderabad dropped down considerably. The PM10 recorded at 101 micrograms per cubic meter in the year 2019-20 has dropped to 83 micrograms per cubic meter in 2023-24.

दिल्ली यातायात पुलिस ने राजधानी में सुरक्षित सड़कें सुनिश्चित करने के लिये एक विशेष अभियान चलाया। इस दौरान स्थानीय पुलिस कर्मचारियों के साथ लगभग 250 ट्रैफिक पुलिस कर्मियों ने 22 जगहो पर बैरिकेड लगाकर चेकिंग की। अतिरिक्त पुलिस आयुक्त, यातायात दिनेश कुमार गुप्ता ने बताया कि नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वालों के खिलाफ कुल 428 चालान जारी किए गए। उन्होने बताया कि इस अभियान का मुख्य फोकस शराब पीकर गाड़ी चलाना, ओवरलोड वाहन और दोषपूर्ण नंबर प्लेट थे। श्री कुमार ने बताया कि यातायात पुलिस ने नशे में गाड़ी चलाने के खिलाफ पूर्वी, केंद्रीय और उत्तरी रेंज में रात के दौरान दो घंटे के लिए यह अभियान चलाया। संबंधित अधिकारियों ने अपने-अपने क्षेत्र में विशेष जांच की बारीकी से निगरानी की। उन्होने बताया कि दिल्ली में सुरक्षित सड़कें सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भविष्य में भी ऐसे अभियान जारी रहेंगे।

होली का त्योहार आने में अब कुछ ही दिन रह गए हैं और इसे लेकर तैयारियां पूरे जोर-शोर से चल रही हैं। ऐसे में वो लोग जो त्योहार अपने होमटाउन में मनाना चाहते हैं उनके लिए एक अच्छी खबर है। होली के दौरान यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए उत्तर रेलवे 93 विशेष रेलगाड़ियों का परिचालन कर रहा है। रेलवे मंत्रालय के अनुसार देशभर में 540 विशेष रेलगाड़ियाँ चलाई जा रही है। दिल्ली से पटना, भागलपुर, मुजफ्फरपुर और सहरसा के अलावा गोरखपुर-मुंबई, कोलकाता-पुरी, गुवाहाटी-रांची और नई दिल्ली- श्री माता वैष्णो देवी कटरा विशेष ट्रेन चलाई जा रही है। मंत्रालय के अनुसार पिछले साल के मुकाबले इस साल 219 अतिरिक्त गाड़िया चलाई जा रही है। इसके अलावा यात्रियों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रमुख स्टेशनों पर अतिरिक्त रेलवे सुरक्षा बल की तैनाती की गई है। रेलगाड़ियों के सुचारू परिचालन के लिए प्रमुख स्टेशनों पर अधिकारियों की आपात ड्यूटी लगाई गई है।

मुंबई में आयकर विभाग ने आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव के दौरान धन शक्ति के दुरुपयोग को रोकने के लिए अपने कार्यालय में 24×7 नियंत्रण कक्ष स्थापित किया है। नियंत्रण कक्ष में एक चुनाव व्यय निगरानी तंत्र की स्थापना की गई है और यह मतदान की तारीख तक चलेगा। आयकर विभाग ने नागरिकों से अपील की है कि वे नियंत्रण कक्ष को टोल-फ्री नंबर 1800-221-510 पर नकदी या कीमती सामान की आवाजाही के बारे में जानकारी प्रदान कर सकते हैं। आप 897-617-6276 या 897-617-6776 पर व्हाट्सएप के माध्यम से भी आप संदेश भेज सकते हैं।
बृहन्मुंबई नगर निगम (बीएमसी) ने होली त्योहार के दौरान अनधिकृत पेड़ काटने के खिलाफ चेतावनी जारी की है। बीएमसी ने नागरिकों से आग्रह किया है कि अगर वे ऐसी घटनाएं देखते हैं तो तुरंत बीएमसी अधिकारियों और स्थानीय पुलिस स्टेशनों को सूचित करें या टोल-फ्री नंबर ‘1916’ पर संपर्क करें। विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, महाराष्ट्र वृक्ष संरक्षण और संरक्षण अधिनियम के प्रावधानों के तहत, स्थानीय वन और वृक्ष अधिकारियों की अनुमति के बिना किसी भी पेड़ को काटना अपराध है। बीएमसी ने मुंबईकरों से पर्यावरण के लिए इन्हें संरक्षित और संरक्षित करने की भी अपील की है।

जैसा की हमें मालूम है कि दुनिया का 70 फीसदी हिस्सा पानी से घिरा है, लेकिन उसमें से पीने योग्य पानी लगभग तीन फीसदी ही है। 97 फीसदी पानी ऐसा है जो पीने लायक ही नहीं है। अब तीन फीसदी पानी पर पूरी दुनिया जीवित है। जल संसाधन मंत्रालय द्वारा जारी आंकड़ों से पता चलता है कि भारत में एक वर्ष में उपयोग किए जाने वाले जल की शुद्ध मात्रा अनुमानित 1,121 बिलियन क्यूबिक मीटर है। जबकि वर्ष 2025 में पीने वाले पानी की मांग 1093 और 2050 तक बढ़कर 1447 बीसीएम तक पहुंच सकती है।

पानी के महत्व को समझाने और स्वच्छ पानी उपलब्ध कराने के उद्देश्य से हर साल 22 मार्च को विश्व जल दिवस (World Water Day) मनाया जाता है।
वर्ष 1992 में ब्राजील के रियो डि जेनेरियो में पर्यावरण और विकास के मुद्दे पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने एक सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया। उसी दिन विश्व जल दिवस मनाने की पहल की गई। बाद में 1993 में पहली बार विश्व जल दिवस मनाया गया। तब से हर साल 22 मार्च को विश्व जल दिवस मनाया जाने लगा। वहीं वर्ष 2010 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र मे सुरक्षित, स्वच्छ पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता के अधिकार को मानवाधिकार के रूप में मान्यता दी।

सूर्य सेन (अंग्रेज़ी: Surya Sen; जन्म- 22 मार्च, 1894, चटगाँव, अविभाजित बंगाल, ब्रिटिश भारत; मृत्यु- 12 जनवरी, 1934, बंगाल, आज़ाद भारत)
आज ही जयंती है भारत की स्वतंत्रता के लिए संघर्ष करने वाले प्रसिद्ध क्रांतिकारियों और अमर शहीदों में गिने जाने वाले सूर्य सेन की। सूर्य सेन को लोग शिक्षक होने की वजह से प्यार से ‘मास्टर दा’ कहते थे। “चटगाँव आर्मरी रेड” के नायक मास्टर सूर्य सेन ने अंग्रेज़ सरकार को सीधे चुनौती दी थी। सरकार उनकी वीरता और साहस से इस प्रकार हिल गयी थी की जब उन्हें पकड़ा गया, तो उन्हें ऐसी हृदय विदारक और अमानवीय यातनाएँ दी गईं, जिसने पूरे देश में स्वतंत्रता की अलख जगा दी। 12 जनवरी, 1934 को सूर्य सेन को तारकेश्वर दस्तीदार के साथ फाँसी की सज़ा दी गई।
देश के इस महान सपूत को आज सवेरे की पूरी टीम का सलाम।

Ramasamy Ganesan (17 November 1920 – 22 March 2005), better known by his stage name Gemini Ganesan, was an Indian actor who worked mainly in Tamil cinema. He was referred to as the Kaadhal Mannan (King of Romance) for his romantic roles in films. Ganesan was one of the “three biggest names of Tamil cinema”, the other two being M. G. Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan. While Sivaji Ganesan excelled in dramatic films and M. G. Ramachandran was popular as an action hero, Gemini Ganesan was known for his romantic films. A recipient of the Padma Shri in 1971, he had also won several other awards including the Kalaimamani, the MGR Gold Medal, and the Screen Lifetime Achievement Award. He was one of the few college graduates to enter the film industry then.
Gemini Ganesan acted in a few Hindi films, most of which were remakes of his Tamil films. His first Hindi film was Missiamma’s remake Miss Mary (1957), which became one of the biggest Indian hits of that year.

आज ही जयंती है उर्दू के प्रसिद्ध पत्रकार और समाज सुधारक मुंशी दयानारायण निगम की ।मुंशी दयानारायण निगम का जन्म 22 मार्च, 1882 को उत्तर प्रदेश के कानपुर शहर में हुआ था। मुंशी दयानारायण बीसवीं सदी के प्रारंभ में कानपुर से प्रकाशित होने वाली उर्दू पत्रिका ‘ज़माना’ के संपादक थे। इन्होंने प्रसिद्ध लेखक मुंशी प्रेमचन्द की पहली कहानी ‘दुनिया का सबसे अनमोल रतन’ प्रकाशित की थी। मोहम्मद इक़बाल की प्रसिद्ध रचना ‘सारे जहाँ से अच्छा हिन्दोस्तां हमारा’ भी ‘ज़माना’ में ही पहली बार प्रकाशित हुई थी। भारत के विश्वविख्यात लेखक मुंशी प्रेमचन्द और दयानारायण निगम में बहुत गहरी मित्रता थी। ‘नवाबराय’ के नाम से लिखने वाले धनपतराय श्रीवास्तव को ‘प्रेमचन्द’ का नाम भी दयानारायण निगम जी ने ही दिया था।

हनुमान पसाद पोद्दार जी ने देश के घर-घर में गीता, रामायण, वेद और पुराण जैसे ग्रंथ पहुँचाने में अहम् भूमिका निभाई । आज ‘गीता प्रेस गोरखपुर’ का नाम किसी के लिए भी अनजाना नहीं है। देश और दुनिया के हर कोने में रामायण, गीता, वेद, पुराण और उपनिषद से लेकर प्राचीन भारत के ऋषियों -मुनियों की कथाओं को पहुँचाने का श्रेय गीता प्रेस गोरखपुर के संस्थापक हनुमान प्रसाद पोद्दार को है।

गीत – नूरी नूरी
सागर सरहदी ने ‘कभी कभी’, ‘चांदनी’, ‘सिलसिला’, ‘नूरी’, ‘दीवाना’, ‘कहो न प्यार है’, जैसी कई बेहतरीन फ़िल्मों की पटकथा लिखी। एक नाटक प्रेमी होने के साथ ही सागर सरहदी ने फ़िल्मों के संवाद लेखन और निर्देशन भी किया।फिल्म ‘बाजार’ से उन्होंने डायरेक्शन में डेब्यू किया था। इस फिल्म में स्मिता पाटिल, फ़ारुख़ शेख़ और नसीरुद्दीन शाह थे। सन 1982 में रिलीज हुई ये फिल्म इंडियन क्लासिक मानी जाती है। सागर सरहदी इस फिल्म के निर्माता, निर्देशक और राइटर तीनों थे।
गीत – फिर छिड़ी रात बात फूलों की
सागर सरहदी ने फिल्म ‘सिलसिला’ (1981), ‘चांदनी’ (1989), ‘रंग’ (1993), ‘जिंदगी’ (1976), ‘कर्मयोगी’, ‘कहो ना प्यार है’, ‘कारोबार’, ‘बाजार’ और ‘चौसर’ जैसी हिट फिल्मों की स्क्रीप्ट लिखी थी। सागर सरहदी ने रंगमंच की दुनिया में फ़ारुख़ शेख़ और शबाना आज़मी जैसे दिग्गज कलाकारों को मौका दिया था। उनका नाम उन सितारों में शुमार था, जिन्होंने अपने दम पर पर हिंदी सिनेमा जगत में अपनी एक अलग पहचान बनाई।
आज सागर सरहदी हमारे बीच नहीं हैं लेकिन बतौर फ़िल्मकार आज भी वो हमारे दिलों में जीवित हैं।
